Railway photography in the UK The Phantasrail Galleries are a collection of railway photographs taken by Les Pitcher and friends between 1960 and the present day. There are 18 different Galleries covering the U.K., Europe, U.S.A., Africa, Australia and a miscellany of countries worldwide - see list at the bottom of the page for all the Galleries. All photos taken between September 2000 and June 2005 were taken using a Nikon D1 digital camera. From June 16, 2005 this has been upgraded to a Nikon D2X digital camera.
